How to use each item in the ‘Rocky Horror’ audience throw bags

Part of what makes Rocky Horror such an iconic and memorable theater experience is audience involvement. Whether you come wearing your own wig and fishnets or get a surprise one-on-one dance with a cast member, this show is best enjoyed actively. That’s why we highly recommend picking up one of the $5 throw bags at the door of Theatre Baton Rouge’s production. Bags are filled with items the audience can use at key moments of the show. (Don’t worry if you forget—you’ll get a cheat sheet with your bag.)

Blow bubbles when Brad and Janet get caught in a storm.

Put on your party hat when Frank tells Columbia, Magenta and Riff Raff to make this a “special occasion.”

Throw your cards in the air during the song “I’m Going Home” when Frank sings, “Cards for sorrow, cards for pain.”

Snap your rubber gloves along with Frank N. Furter during and after his creation speech.

Blow your horn to join the Transylvanians’ celebration at the end of Frank’s creation speech.

Cover your head with newspaper like Janet during the storm.

Throw toilet paper in the air when Dr. Scott enters the lab and Brad yells, “Great Scott!”

Turn on your flashlight or wave your glowstick when Brad and Janet sing about the light “Over at the Frankenstein Place.”
