I love shoes. I don’t discriminate (except when it comes to Chacos—I’m sorry, I can’t do those), and I also don’t throw away shoes unless they are broken beyond repair. I always hope my bright blue, pointed pumps or houndstooth flats will come back into a trendy rotation. Thankfully, I did not throw away my espadrille flatforms from a couple summers ago, because they are back and better than ever!
I realized this when I saw these gems (pictured) at Forever 21. They were the last pair available, and surprisingly in my size. Don’t you just love it when that happens? These shoes are extremely comfortable and flattering. They work well with jeans and especially shorts. Either find a solid pair like these and match them with some fun patterned shorts, or go the opposite way. Patterned flatforms are everywhere right now. Look for stripes or florals and pair them with brightly colored or denim shorts. Voila! Instant trendiness.
