You know those days when you wake up and want nothing to touch you? Pants seem like such a burden, and figuring out what to pair with said pants is even worse! We all have those days when we would rather go to work in our pajamas. But we can’t. Because #adulthood.
Behold ladies: the muumuu.
Technically, a muumuu is loungewear. But we know how I feel about loungewear as street wear. Big fan. Huge! Long, busy weekends call for an easy Monday morning look. I am officially instating Muumuu Monday and taking full advantage of the maxi dress being socially appropriate.
The two keys to finding a good muumuu are 1) fabric and 2) print. A silk, cotton, or linen blend is breathable and easy to care for. The print can be wild or subdued, your choice. For the record, I have one that is gold lamé and have no shame wearing it, so take my version of socially appropriate with a grain of salt.
I love the paisley print of this one! The colors remind me of a peacock opening its feathers. The silk fabric made me float around all day and fooled everyone into thinking I had dressed up for the day.
