Panther pride runs deep with Chris Toombs. The McKinley High School alum is assistant director of the state-of-the-art McKinley Alumni Center. Opened in October, the center brings alumni of all ages together to preserve the school’s rich history and is home to several agencies that help the neighborhood and its residents.
A self-professed “information magnet,” Toombs spends hours on the computer researching everything from sports scores to his dear alma mater.
“I just like knowing what is going on,” he says.
The bookmarks on his computer are a road map of where he has been and where he is likely to go next.
