Could be the sexiest bar in Baton Rouge. Enjoy traditional Russian cuisine in an upscale late night environment. Dishes include chicken Kiev, caviar. Rasputin's has 128 different types of vodkas. Not cheap.

Rasputin's is a cool bar with lots of potential but they need some work in the customer service area. I tried twice to plan a party there. The first time didn't work out with dates, etc. The second time they had changed their event coordinator and the new guy does not know what he is doing. He tried to repackage the same stuff three times trying to tell me it was something different and they were giving me free stuff, etc even though it was the same price. Try the new Chelsea's, Red Star, Roux House...anywhere but Rasputin's.

I highly dis-agree with previous statment...The service as far waitresses, and bartender's are excellent, and the drinks are stiff, and quick to be made....I highly encourage anyone in the area to drop by. There is an excellent vibe in the Venue. Not to mention some of the best music that i have heard in Baton Rouge, and very talented DJ's..The DJ's provide a wide variety of music from Break's to House.....Go check it out...
As far as party planning...Try it again, It will be top nonch

no. the service is awful period. drinks are stiff yes, but the bartenders are too busy looking cool and flirting. i stood there for 10 minutes and waited at the bar holding my money like the others around me while the pretty boy bartenders cut up and played around. the owners need to step up and recognize the money they are losing before we lose another decent place to go out in BR.
go on a monday for $2 premium vodkas and easy service industry crowd.
music is solid. crowd is pretentious. door guys clueless about how to enforce a dress code and what fashion is.

i have been 4 times since the lava room closed, and continue to wonder what the hell is up? this use to be a classy place where i could bring a date, hang out and listen to jazz and stuff. now it is a dj place with kids getting wasted. i wish the lava room would reopen. they had great food and drinks and ran the place with style. i'm done with rasputins. i don't care if the drinks are strong...my date always wants to leave in 10 minutes.

Ok does anyone remember Marrazil's? Why the heck did they have to do away w/a good thing? I thought it was laid back, classy, and I was in there EVERY Monday night for hip-hop night. It was a place where I could enjoy great chocolate Martini's AND listen to the cool music..I went to RasPUKIN's the other night on a weeknight..it was pretty disappointing and the music was just odd. I like the way it looked on the inside though..it's pretty prentious and I can't say the service was all that great. I'll try going again but I just really miss Marrazil's.
