Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 4 pm, and by advance reservation. Built in 1930, by Governor Huey P. Long, as Louisiana’s White House complete with dazzling East Room, second floor Oval Office and beautiful Rose Garden. Docent-guided tours of the Georgian-style landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, include unique memorabilia and fascinating stories from the remarkable times of The Kingfish, Governor Jimmie Davis (known worldwide for the song, You Are My Sunshine) and Governor Earl K. Long (portrayed by Paul Newman in the movie Blaze.) Special events booking for receptions and history-making weddings.
