Horne spoke at the reception in his honor, sharing his own raw, emotional memories of working in the journalism building after the storm. He thanked Baton Rouge for its hospitality, and especially LSU, which, thanks to allowing the Times-Picayune team to operate their makeshift newsroom in the journalism building, shares at least some of the credit for the paper’s Pulitzer Prizes.
