The next generation: Who knows what today’s kids will achieve? Some aren’t even waiting to grow up to make their mark. Like golfer Patrick Reed, who made headlines earlier this summer when he was chosen to represent the United States at the prestigious Junior British Open. The 16-year-old U-High sophomore didn’t just show up, he won the tournament, beating out a field of 60 youth golfers from all over the world. Local country clubs have tried to lure him, but he insists LSU’s course is his home course. He’s also got a group of golfing mentors.
