Nashville’s response to New York City’s The Dap-Kings are funk-soul brothers The Dynamites. Bandleader Charles Walker used to open for James Brown at the Apollo, and his eight-piece brings Chelsea’s Café a brand new bag on Nov. 9. Hip hop and new wave mingle, flirt and exchange numbers with Aesop Rock, as mastermind MC Ian Bavitz brings a set list indebted to his head-bopping new album, Neuva York, to the Spanish Moon on Nov. 12. Sweat like it’s August again on Nov. 23 when hard-touring band As Cities Burn (right) transcends it’s hardcore shackles and returns home for a show at The Darkroom to promote critically-acclaimed, and much mellower, new album Come Now Sleep.
