If ever there was a girly answer to brawny chophouses and chest-pounding sports bars, the Silver Spoon is it. Soft hues, mango iced tea and a menu that’s built around that chick-friendly staple, the big salad, are among the trappings of this Bocage Village haunt where professionals and tennis moms pop in for mid-day victuals. In addition to crunchy greens, the menu features offbeat apps like crabmeat pupusas and portabello remoulade, and nearly two dozen sandwiches. The Baja shrimp wrap with salsa ranch dressing is plump and tangy, and the juicy Black Angus burger is one of the best in town. Desserts change whimsically.

I found the service to be spotty and food to be average at best; ingredients tended to not really be fresh, ie mealy tomatoes, even in summer. I suppose it could be considered very good for Baton Rouge however, much like Byronz.

I love The Silver Spoon, absolutely awesome food! I disagree with "sheriquisha" (above). In my experience the service has always been excellent and very friendly. The food is innovative and fresh My boyfriend is a big fan after he had the Miguel burger, he says it's the best burger in town. Get there early, it's always crowded.
