Fried heaven
I hereby submit our tailgate’s boudin egg rolls, prepared by Gary McClure. What makes it tasty? Dude...it’s boudin egg rolls.

Tastin’ away again in Tigeritaville
I would like to recommend my personal favorites from the Tigerita Tailgate Party: Pastalaya by Clayton Mitchell and fried catfish by Malcolm Spell.

Popeyes Fried Chicken. The only time I allow myself to eat it is for tailgating.

Gobble gobble, sizzle sizzle
One year, during an Auburn game, “Uncle” Tommy Laborde fried War Eagle at his Lot C tailgate. The hassles of frying turkey weren’t going to slow Mr. Tommy down that day. He marinated the turkey the night before with Cajun Injector Marinade and dropped it down in the grease early the next morning at his tailgate, so that we could all enjoy it by lunchtime. Although not actually an uncle of mine, it is because of his LSU game-day hospitality that he gains “uncle” status in my book!

Tiger Butter
A recipe I use and always bring to LSU parties is for a candy called Tiger Butter. I got it from the food section of The Advocate years ago. It is made with melted white chocolate and melted crunchy peanut butter, which you spread out into a jelly-roll pan. Then you use melted chocolate chips to make “tiger stripes.” Everyone loves it, and it is so cute on the table, because it looks like a tiger!!!
