Move it or lose it

The foursome from Meriwether became the standing modern rock heroes at The Caterie, they toured the country, hit a deer, got a new van and recorded Make Your Move, which contained enough in-your-face emotion and hard rock buzz to catch on in Japan, of all places. A tour of that country is in the works.

“Our success overseas has a lot to do with our constant Web promoting,” says lead singer Drew Reilly. “PureVolume and MySpace are like Bibles for any band who wants to do something big.”

Guitarist Steve Bergeron did something big recently. He got ejected from New York’s infamous punk palace CBGB. Video is up on meriwetherrock.com—video of the show, not the ejection of which details remain sketchy. Meriwether returns this summer for a June 29 concert at The Varsity. With 6 Pack Deep. $10. 10 p.m. varsitytheatre.com.
