Vintage Clothes

It can be fun and even rewarding to venture out and experience fashion in a new light – or in this case, a re-visited one.

Locally, two shops in particular offer shoppers a perfect journey into alternative style: Time Warp Boutique, a locally owned and operated vintage clothing store, and Plato’s Closet, a store that specializes in gently used clothing. Both carry men’s and women’s clothing, as well as shoes, hats, and an assortment of accessories. But their similarities end there. Time Warp carries hand-selected fashions from the mid ‘80’s all the way back to the 1920s and is a great place to find anything from a costume for a retro-themed outing to a classic dress for a stylish cocktail party, and the clothing is from all over the world. On the other hand, Plato’s closet carries clothing that represents the current trends in fashion. Best of all, you can buy and/or sell merchandise there. Plato’s Closet stocks its store with clothing purchased from patrons who decide to turn their slightly worn fashions into cash. The clothes include mostly name-brands such as Abercrombie, Hollister, and Gap, but get stuff from high-end boutiques. Both stores offer refreshing alternatives with style.
