“We ain’t good for it, but we are damn good at it,” is the catch phrase atop the Way High Men’s MySpace site, and it is a good thesis statement for the strapping, raunchy band. Equal parts neo cowpunk psychobilly and classic sleaze rock, The Way High Men (Glenn Harris, lead guitar; Justin Hilbun, lead vocals, rhythm guitar; Adam King, bass, vocals; Michael Talley, drums) provide a simple antidote for the stretched thin genres of indie rock. They keep it fun and sleazy.
“A lot of ‘indie rock’ seems a little more concerned with fashion and hipness,” Hilburn suggests. “Whereas The Way High Men place our efforts strictly on the quality of our product.”
That product has found them in good company including an opening slot for kindred spirits Honky and Nashville Pussy awhile back at the Spanish Moon, but they’re clearly not riding on any scene’s coattails “We pride ourselves on being able to enter any venue and create our own atmosphere there. If you put us in front of a fun crowd in the middle of nowhere with nothing but cowpies and a place to plug in, we’ll make that our favorite venue for the evening.”
Their favorite venue of the evening of May 11 will be Clicks on Corporate Boulevard at College Drive. Watch them rip this town yet another new one.

The Way High Men here. Just letting folks know:
Our May 11th show has been cancelled due to some horrible mix-up with a troop of supermodels at the airport and our having just come back from a costume party where everyone had to dress as airport security.
We'll be playing again soon, so stay tuned!
