Rhadd Hunt has dropped his bass and packed his bags, embarking on a worldwide adventure. So far Hunt has survived a tsunami—though his beach house didn’t—seen many of the world’s ancient wonders and taken countless pictures along the way.

When and why did you leave Baton Rouge?
Late 2004. I began my travels around the world and began writing a book about my journeys.
What do you miss about the city?
The music, the food and Spanish Town Mardi Gras.
What don’t you miss about it?
Sitting still on the interstate.
What does Kuala Lumpur have that you wish Baton Rouge had?
Excellent public transportation.
What’s essential when you come back to visit?
Krispy Kreme doughnut fix, lunch at Tony’s Seafood, Fleur-de-Lis pizza and lunch at Poor Boy Lloyd’s.
When were you in town last and what did you do while here?
I came back for Christmas and spent lots of time with my family, Spanish Town neighbors and friends. I ate all the great comfort food that I had missed and got to sit in with my former band for a Christmas gig.
