While many runners and athletes will be heading to Baton Rouge for this weekend’s Louisiana Marathon, the post-race Finish Festival shouldn’t be missed, either.

The event will feature a bevy of great foods as part of its Food Village, which will be open Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 17-18) 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at AZ Young Park in front of the State Capitol Welcome Center (900 N. Third St.). The marathon will host a jambalaya tent on both days as well as goods from the Baton Rouge health-centric sandwich and salad shop Freshjunkie. Saturday’s food vendors include Mestizo’s, Lucy’s and Tallulah’s. On Sunday, Restaurant IPO, Blend and Capital City Grill are among some of the food vendors that will be on display.

Marathon participants can expect everything from fresh juices to frog legs. A full schedule and details on the food village are available here.

The event will also have a Vegan Village on Sunday, with foods from The Salad Shop, The Big Squeezy and Fresh Kitchen. Get more information.
