Heads up: Tallulah hosts Slow Food Local Social

Slow Food Baton Rouge is teaming up with Tallulah Crafted Food & Wine Bar inside the Renaissance Hotel (7000 Bluebonnet Blvd.) for a Local Social.

The free event will be held Wednesday, March 11, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., and features small plates and drink specials in support of this year’s Dinner in the Field.

Slow Food Baton Rouge’s Dinner in the Field is set for Sunday, April 19. The six-course meal and cocktail hour takes place at Oakland Plantation (6165 Highway 963, Gurley, LA, 70730). The event begins at 4 p.m. and features live music, cocktails and small plates from Country Table and Red Stick Spice Co. before the 5 p.m. dinner. Proceeds from Dinner in the Field benefit Slow Food Baton Rouge’s farm-to-school pilot program Greauxing Healthy Baton Rouge.

Seating for Dinner in the Field is limited. Early bird tickets are now available for $125 per person. For more information on the event, click here. For more information on Slow Food Baton Rouge, click here.
