Heads up: Dinner in the Field tickets now on sale

Slow Food Baton Rouge’s Dinner in the Field fundraising event is right around the corner.

The six-course meal and cocktail hour will be held at Oakland Plantation (6165 Highway 963, Gurley, LA, 70730) Sunday, April 19. The event starts at 4 p.m. with a cocktail hour with live music, cocktails, wine and small plates from Country Table and Red Stick Spice Co. The dinner starts at 5 p.m. and will feature locally grown foods selected and prepared by area chefs, such as David Dickensauge of Bin 77, Ryan André of City Pork Brasserie and Bar and Elton Hyndman of Nino’s Italian. A full list of chefs will be announced soon. Patrons can also enjoy a free local farms tour at noon.

Dinner in the Field’s proceeds benefit Slow Food Baton Rouge’s farm-to-school pilot program Greauxing Healthy Baton Rouge. For more information on the program, click here.
