Two bottles will be tagged and offered for the blind testing and scoring. The third bottle will go into the “pot” to be awarded to the winning team. The event’s featured varietal is Pinot Noir. Lava Cantina, the Perkins Rowe restaurant that mixes rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere with Mexican-style cuisine, cut the ribbon on a new patio Tuesday. The expanded patio was in construction for the past five weeks and features ample space for those wanting to enjoy the restaurant’s food and drinks outdoors. Earlier this month, the restaurant announced a revamped menu and new operating partner. For more information, visit lavacantina.com.

Triumph Kitchen’s “Who Killed Chef” mystery dinner is sold out. The event takes place Thursday at 7 p.m. and features a seven-course Halloween Eve mystery dinner with dishes from Chefs Chris Wadsworth and Allison Offner of Cupcake Allie.
