Dine Roundup: Farmers market holiday schedule; leisure classes at the Culinary Institute

Heads up: Red Stick Farmers Market will host special Thanksgiving Market

The Red Stick Farmers Market is hosting a special Thanksgiving market Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Goodwood Library, 8 a.m.-noon.

BREADA representative Darlene Rowland says the market will be larger than usual so customers can stock up on produce and other foods for Thanksgiving meals.

Fresh finds for holiday meals include leafy greens, squash, eggplant, corn, cabbage and more.

The Wednesday market at the ExxonMobil YMCA and the Thursday market at Pennington Biomedical Research Center will be closed, but the market will resume Saturday, Nov. 28, at 8 a.m. for the weekly downtown market.
