Nov. 5 and 19
Welcome to Death Valley: Two of the biggest SEC football games come to Tiger Stadium this month, when the Tigers face off against the Crimson Tide on Nov. 5 and the Florida Gators Nov. 19. Kickoff times TBA. lsusports.net

Head to the Crowne Plaza Hotel for The Cat-illion, Cat Haven’s 15th Cat Tales & Cocktails Gala. Proceeds from the event go to the Cat Haven non-profit. The gala is 7-10 p.m. Individual tickets are $75. cathaven.org

Nov. 12-13
Get in the holiday spirit with the Mistletoe Market. Located at the Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium, holiday shoppers can find the perfect gifts for friends and family. Saturday’s event is 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday’s is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $6. mistletoemarketbr.com

Nov. 13
Cap City Beer Fest: Taste more than 100 different beers at the second annual event supporting the Companion Animal Alliance. The festival will take place along Fourth Street and Spanish Town Road, noon-4 p.m. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. capcitybeerfest.org

White Light Night: Meet your makers at the annual Mid City art hop. Explore Baton Rouge food, art, drinks and live music—and maybe even start your holiday shopping—along Government Street, Jefferson Highway and nearby blocks as area businesses stay open late. The free event is

Turkey Trot March of Dimes 5K: Kick off Thanksgiving Day with this fun way to get in shape.
