Silent films will once again be paired with never-before-heard soundtracks from regional bands in Baton Rouge Gallery’s annual summer film series, Movies & Music on the Lawn. While the series has dug deep into the archives for silent classics, this year’s slate of films will feature three flicks made in the past decade and a 1970s classic that’s familiar to millions.
The films will be projected on an inflatable screen on the lawn behind the gallery. Admission is free for gallery members and $7 for non-members. Unlimited popcorn is included in admission price. Screenings begin at 8 p.m. or sunset—whichever comes last. batonrougegallery.org
