One of Baton Rouge’s biggest food-centric events is finally here again.
Starting Thursday night, Aug. 27, Fête Rouge begins with its classy awards dinner, the 9th Annual Grace “Mama” Marino Lifetime Achievement Dinner. Held at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel, the event this year will honor Robert “Bobby” Yarborough, CEO of Manda Meats. Nine local chefs designed the courses for the dinner, which are paired with carefully selected fine wines. Check out the full menu and featured chefs here.
The awards dinner is 6 p.m.-10 p.m. at L’Auberge, with tickets going for $200 a person and $1,600 for a table of eight.
Friday night, Aug. 28, is the enormous Food & Wine Fête at L’Auberge, featuring a chefs competition with patrons mingling and sampling their best dishes, more than 200 wines to taste, live entertainment, a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $75 per person and tickets for the coinciding Fête du Vin are $200, which includes entry to Food & Wine Fête.
