Events picks: Get ready to party at Red Stick Revelry

Downtown Baton Rouge is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. Mayor Kip Holden and thousands more will be there for the second-ever Red Stick Revelry celebration. The fun starts with a performance from David St. Romain at the Crest Stage in Galvez Plaza, followed by Phat Hat at 9 p.m. Then, to ring in the New Year, a massive red stick will drop in Town Square along a backdrop of fireworks over the Mississippi River.
