Downtown Baton Rouge is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. Mayor Kip Holden and thousands more will be there for the second-ever Red Stick Revelry celebration. The fun starts with a performance from David St. Romain at the Crest Stage in Galvez Plaza, followed by Phat Hat at 9 p.m. Then, to ring in the New Year, a massive red stick will drop in Town Square along a backdrop of fireworks over the Mississippi River. Red Stick Revelry isn’t the only party happening in Baton Rouge.
