Dine calendar: ‘MasterChef’ viewing party, Blues N’ Brews and Forum 35’s crawfish boil

Festivities start tonight, Wednesday, May 27, at the Tin Roof tap room (1624 Wyoming St.) for a MasterChef viewing party with the city’s own competitor, Jesse Romero. The local celebrity and cook will be preparing food, and the tap room will have $1 off pints during the event. 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

The fun continues Thursday, May 28, as The Radio Bar (3079 Government St.) hosts Pints + Pixels. The event starts at 6 p.m. and affords creatives a chance to meet and discuss web design and development.

Also on Thursday, WHYR will host Blues N’ Brews at the Tin Roof tap room, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The event features dinner from City Pork as well as musical performances from Elvin Killerbee featuring Louis Leblanc and Charles Pierce, Eric Schmitt and Ryan Harris. The station’s own DJ Clay Achee will highlight some great blues stories through recorded interviews with legends such as Larry Garner and Lazy Lester. Limited tickets remain.

Forum 35 hosts its second-ever crawfish boil at Brickyard South (174 South Blvd.) Saturday, May 30, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for Forum 35 members, $20 for non-members. RSVP and get more information.

Local shops, food trucks and music will be on hand during Locale Louisianne, a pop-up market. The event kicks off Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Tin Roof tap room. Cupcake Allie, Ninja Snowballs and Taco de Paco will be slinging treats. The Easy will be playing tunes while you enjoy perusing the local vendors’ art, accessories, jewelry and clothing.
