A cool little community of up-and-coming artists, Dizzy Arts, is celebrating the end of 2014 with a holiday party this weekend. The art group will host its second party in as many weekends at its headquarters on Sharlo Avenue Saturday, Dec. 27. Hear the next great slam poets downtown
The Arts Council and Baton Rouge Poetry Alliance is hosting a special at this week’s Eclectic Truth Poetry Slam & Open Mic. In the spirit of the holiday, there will be a 2-for-1 admission, meaning two patrons can attend for $7. The event kicks off Tuesday, Dec. 23, inside the Firehouse Gallery of Arts Council building.
