LSU Opera takes on Mozart’s classic this week. Performances of Don Giovanni start Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Shaver Theatre on LSU’s campus. Additional performances run Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $30. Directed by Dugg McDonough and conducted by Michael Borowitz, Don Giovanni is perhaps Mozart’s most famous opera. The story revolves around the legend of Don Juan, a lover who is known for his relentless energy and desire. The two-act drama will be performed in Italian. Prospect.3, a regional extension of the international contemporary art biennial Prospect New Orleans, will host a screening of the series, Art 21: Art in the Twenty-First Century, Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Lagniappe Records.
