Description: For every four trees we lose in the United States, only one is replaced. Baton Rouge has long been known as a city of magnificent trees. Can you imagine the LSU campus without its beautiful live oaks! Let’s not let the recent devastation of our tree canopy leave us out in the blazing sun. A select group of arborists, horticulturists, and landscape professionals will discuss the proper selection, placement, and maintenance of trees for your yard. Printed materials will also be available. Plant Smart is free and open to the public. Plant Smart is sponsored by BREC and the Kean Miller Law Firm.
