The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge will present FestForAll – Baton Rouge’s premier art & music festival, May 3 – 4, 2008!

Description: Join us for a full weekend of art and entertainment along North Boulevard and on the grounds of the Old State Capitol and the Shaw Center for the Arts. The hours on Saturday, May 3 are 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, May 4 are 12 noon – 6:30 p.m. FestForAll is free and open to all.
Mary Boston, FestForAll 2008 Chair, said, “FestForAll is for everyone; it’s a community celebration where families can eat, play, dance, and shop. Children can learn about the visual arts, music, poetry, and dance. Plus, it’s a great way to enjoy all that’s new in downtown Baton Rouge.”
FestForAll 2008 will include:
* Over 80 visual artists from 14 states! Shop for pottery, woodwork, stained glass, jewelry, and much more! Ms. Susan W. Knowles is Distinguished Judge for FestForAll 2008. Ms. Knowles is an art historian, art writer, and independent curator who has held curatorial positions at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Cheekwood Museum of Art, and the Metro Nashville Arts Commission. She serves on the Board of Governors of Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Sister Cities of Nashville. Ms. Knowles will present $8,000 in awards to artists at FestForAll 2008.
