Description: The company was founded in 1987 by Lisa Hooks Murray and in 1997 Wilson assumed the position of Artistic Director. In the last decade, they have gained much attention for their "flagship" Color Productions that have included "Red" (for Baton Rouge), "Lilac, Magenta… Tales of Love," "Paradise Orange" (in collaboration with the Greater BR Food Bank), Sienna (in conjunction with "Earth Day," “Vertical Voyage” (an exceptional collaboration with the Baton Rouge Symphony in 2005), and last season’s “Citrus Demise.”

In commemoration of the company’s twentieth year as a formidable force in Baton Rouge’s artistic community, OMC presents “Luminescence,” a milestone performance at the Manship Theatre combining dance, theatre, live music, and visual art. The show will offer a unique retrospective look throughout OMC’s history, with selected highlights from each production in their “colorworks” series. In addition, there will be a cameo performance by the company’s founder Lisa Hooks Murray and Baton Rouge native, Alice Pascal-Escher, Associate Professor of Dance at Tulane University.
