The Louisiana State Museum has one of the largest and finest costume and textile collections in the United States. Overall the museum's collection ranges from late 18th century to the present with the majority of objects having a Louisiana provenance

Description: The Louisiana State Museum has one of the largest and finest costume and textile collections in the United States. Overall the museum's collection ranges from late 18th century to the present with the majority of objects having a Louisiana provenance. Of the approximately 15,000 objects in the collection, one third is the costumes and accessories collection, one third is the textile collection, and one third is the Carnival collection.
