Description: Bebop on over to the Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Boulevard, on Thursday, September 13, at 7:00p.m. for the latest in the series Looking at: Jazz - America’s Art Form. Music historian, Kevin Fontenot, will present the feature documentary film, Jazz Innovators: From Bebop, to Hard Bop, to Cool and More. The film will feature interviews as well as excerpts from concerts to provide context for an expert discussion.
Looking At: Jazz - America’s Art Form is a film and discussion project for non-profit organizations and libraries from the National Endowment for the Humanities, in collaboration with National Video Resources, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the American Library Association. Baton Rouge: All That’s Jazz is sponsored by the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. Collaborative partners include Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and Cox Communications.
