Description: Organized and circulated by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, "Geisha to Diva" explores the life and experiences of Geisha-Diva Ichimaru, one of the most famous geishas of the 20th century and known for her exceptional singing voice. A magnificent collection of 24 rare kimonos and other personal effects once belonging to Ichimaru forms the heart of this exhibition and demonstrates her fashion style and tastes over several decades.
