Description: MINDFUL MOTHERING
Every Monday 10--11:30am
Mindful Mothers is designed to be a supportive gathering for mothers and their children. In keeping with The Red Shoes mission, we encourage interior growth, sharing and respect for cultural, religious and philosophical diversity with a focus on that which we have in common. As a sacred circle of mothers, we encourage respect in every interaction and an intention of bringing enlightenment to our lives and the community. Each week, we will discuss the previous week_s ‘Naptime Reading’ (less than one typewritten page), which will usually center on a parenting or mothering topic. We will work as a group to choose topics and harvest these readings. Children will play while mothers share. We welcome breastfeeding at meetings.
Facilitated by Amy Alexander, a journalist, poet, artist and mother to Ryan, a toddler.
