Description: Swing on over to the Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Boulevard, on Thursday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. for the latest in the series Looking at Jazz: America’s Art Form. Music historian, Kevin Fontenot, will present the feature documentary film, Benny Goodman: Adventures in the Kingdom of Swing. Following the film, Fontenot will lead a discussion on the development of Swing and the Big Band Era. Looking At: Jazz America’s Art Form is a film and discussion project for non-profit organizations and libraries from the National Endowment for the Humanities, in collaboration with National Video Resources, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the American Library Association.
