Description: In honor of Women's History Month, over twenty female poets from across the region will gather to each read an original work on the subject of women.
Always a wide array of voices and ideas, the poets reflect the unique journey of the individual while speaking to the universal experience of womanhood. First started in 1999 by Sue Owen, then poet-in-residence at Louisiana State University, the event has continued to be a success, bringing in new poets each year and welcoming back well known poets from the area. This program is free and open to the public. (Baton Rouge Gallery)
