Description: This exhibit is a premiere showcase of hundreds of intricately and colorfully rendered paintings by this relatively unknown yet highly accomplished outsider artist. Beecher spent the last years of his life in the 1970s at Villa Feliciana hospital in Jackson, Louisiana. Apparently, he began painting there. His substantial artmaking during this period, including his motivational influences, are explored for the first time in this animated exhibition.
