See the festive holiday celebration ZooLights
The Baton Rouge Zoo’s annual holiday celebration kicks off Friday, Nov. 28. Patrons can walk through the zoo and see larger-than-life light displays, with more than 50 illuminated displays on tap this time around. The event also includes a mile-long walking trail and continues through Dec. 30. Admission is $5 for adults and teens, $4 for seniors and $3 for children ages 2-12. Celebrate Christmas with some Cajuns
Take a drive to Gramercy Sunday, Nov. 30, for the third annual iteration of “A Very Cajun Christmas.” This family-friendly event takes place at 11 a.m. at the St. James Welcome Center and includes photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, stories, gumbo and more. The free festivities also include games. Pictures are $10, and attendees will receive a CD with purchase. RSVP and get more information.
