Juban's recently amped up its selections of super premium, high-end gins. If you like your white liquors but are bored with vodka and its Carrie Bradshaw-inspired cocktail spawn, consider gin. This spring, ditch the "tini" in favor of something formerly prepared in the bathtubs of Prohibition.
Crisp, light cucumber martinis made with delicate, cucumber-infused Hendrick's Gin have made their mark in recent years. Juban's is also playing around with a new drink that joins Hendrick's with muddled mint, lemon juice, crushed ice and matchstick cukes.
Sample of few of these boutique selections and look for their wide range of botanical notes. Juban's now features the English Old Raj (try a classic martini), Bafferts, also from England, Junipero from the United States, and from France, Magellan and the noteworthy Citadelle, highly complex and made since the late 1700s. There are many other new offerings as well. Enjoy.
