FuturePAC makes runoff endorsements

FuturePAC, the political action committee of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, released its slate of endorsements today for Saturday's runoff election. In House of Representatives races, FuturePAC is backing Edward "Ed" Price, District 58; C. Denise Marcelle, District 61; Clay Schexnayder, District 81; and Edward C. "Ted" James, District 101. In the BESE District 6 race, Charles E. "Chas" Roemer IV gets the FuturePAC endorsement, while Carolyn Hill is FuturePAC's pick for the BESE District 8 seat. FuturePAC previously endorsed all these candidates in the primary, with the exception of Hill. "We believe that each of these candidates has shown a commitment to the business community," says Pat Felder, chair of the FuturePAC board of directors. "It is essential that we support candidates that recognize the need and importance of economic development in the Baton Rouge area. Our continued support in their campaigns is based on their knowledge and understanding of the business community and the opportunities for growth."
