With 2013 off to a dynamic start, it’s important to reinforce your goals and stay consistent with a routine of good health and exercise. I recently sat down with Ricky Pampo, owner of Pampo Wellness Group, to get some tips on maintaining a healthy and recreational lifestyle. He also helped us illustrate how the latest styles in activewear can definitely make you feel better and look better when you hit the gym!

A: There are benefits for both; but always assess your goals with your health care and fitness professional first and go from there.

A: Implement a total body strength program using a variety of resistance training tools: body weight, free weights, resistance bands, machines and kettle bells.

A: Training for your first 3.1-mile race, give yourself at least one month to train with a three-day-a-week running schedule. Include a one-day recovery between training runs.

A: Add “workout” moves in your daily routine: Do chair squats at your desk, take the stairs when going from floor to floor or take a stretch break at the desk. And if possible, create a simulated “workout” environment at your workplace.?

A: We at Pampo Wellness focus on the total well-being of the individual and first encourage proper and adequate HYDRATION. Focus on the highest quality of natural foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables and quality protein sources. Provide your body with fuel.
