Manship Theatre kicks off its 10th anniversary seasons with a performance from New Orleans R&B legend Allen Toussaint. The pianist takes the stage Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $85, and the performance is available only to members of the Manship Theatre. The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the venue’s gallery. Toussaint is known as the quintessential Crescent City pianist and has written dozens of hits, including “Southern Nights,” “Working in the Coal Mine” and “Mother-in-Law.” He has also collaborated with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Elvis Costello, just to name a few.
