Runway to Realway: Grey + Coral

Grey + Coral

The Spring 2015 shows are still going on, and it’s hardly fall yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t jumpstart the trends of next year! There are always elements to look for in new trends, but my initial search is for great color combinations. So far I’ve seen a lot of blush, olive and tangerine. While the orange family is not my favorite to wear, I still like to see touches of it in the mix. This is where the Sabine collection comes in.

Easy, soft greys are my love language, so this silky shift summons a symphony between my ears when I look at it. The shade is lush, romantic, and makes me smile. Pairing a coral, orange, or even something of a more pumpkin shade with grey may seem unusual. Colors in the orange family are bold, and keeping the focus on a bold element of an outfit is essential. Play with your skin tone to see which orange shade looks best on you. For me, it’s coral. Light grey, however, looks great with all of them!

Keep your accessories looking fresh in winter pastels. Ice blue-grey oxfords play off the girly factor of a feminine skirt, while the prim and proper shape of a ballet pink handbag play up the femininity. The simplest of simple jewelry keeps the clean lines coming. A gold necklace that is a simple bar? Love. A rose gold collar necklace? Uber love. Sleek, simple hair and natural makeup finished off the look perfectly.
