Owners of New York Bagel Company’s Lee Drive location are expanding their business to Perkins Road. The franchise will open at 8342 Perkins Road in Panache Plaza, a shopping center that houses Rotolo’s Pizzeria, Gambino’s Bakery and Le Bon Temps Bar & Grill. Manager Kat Porter says the new location features the same menu items as well as homemade pastries, muffins and scones. A grand opening is set for July 1.
The new site, in the former smoothie and supplement stop Rival Nutrition, is around 1,400 square feet—a bit smaller than the Lee Drive restaurant. However, Porter says the new location will have a drive-thru window for pick-up orders. The interior will maintain the New York deli-style feel and features around 18 two-top tables with room for 36 patrons. Hours will be Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 769-0224. —Matthew Sigur
