MJ’s Café, a Mid City restaurant that spotlights local and seasonal cuisine with vegetarian and seafood specialties, will host a five-course dinner next Friday. The event, called Tables and Tunes, kicks off at 6 p.m. with music from Minos the Saint. On the menu is a summer squash soup with salsa verde, fresh mozzarella and tomato salad, heirloom tomato and jalapeńo quiche, roasted mushroom and chickpea salad and blueberry and white chocolate bread pudding.
