Eric Brace and Peter Cooper perform in Baton Rouge Friday night. The singer-songwriter duo takes the Red Dragon Listening Room stage at 8 p.m. Local talents Clay Parker and Ryan Harris will open. Seat donation starts at $20. Brace and Cooper have opened for acts such as John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Don Williams and many more. They have also played festivals such as the Bristol Rhythm & Roots and Tin Pan South. Last year, the duo released its third album The Comeback Album. Brace and Cooper earned a Grammy nomination when they dove into children’s music with I Love: Tom T. Hall’s Songs of Fox Hollow, which featured guest appearances from Patty Griffin, Jim Lauderdale and many others. Outside the duo, Brace leads the roots rock band Last Train Home, and Cooper is the senior music writer for The Tennessean and a professor of country music at Vanderbilt University.
