Bistro Byronz set to open at The Village at Willow Grove this fall

Bistro Byronz, a neighborhood restaurant with locations on Government Street in Baton Rouge as well as Mandeville and Shreveport, will open its second Capital City location in late fall.

Emelie Kantrow Alton of Bistro Byronz says the new location will be part of The Village at Willow Grove on Settlement Boulevard, a mixed-use commercial center that is part of the development The Settlement at Willow Grove. Richard Carmouche is developing The Settlement and its commercial center, and he is also a partner in the new Bistro Byronz location.

It will be slightly bigger than the Government Street restaurant, but with a similar design and atmosphere, Alton says.
She says in the last five years, the owners had been looking at options for an additional Baton Rouge location.

“It was important for us to get in a good location and find the right partnership,” she says. “It’s the right area to get us to the other side of town and reach some customers who may not come to our Government Street location as regularly.”

Alton says she anticipates the bar area of the new restaurant will be a little larger. The menu is currently being finalized with some new dishes and specials.

Bistro Byronz is the first announced business for The Village and will be in the ground floor of one of four buildings allotted for a mix of retail, office and residential space. The other two buildings in the development will be for residential use.

The Settlement broke ground in February 2013, according to Baton Rouge Business Report. Bistro Byronz opened its Baton Rouge location in January 2006.
