Erin Edmiston – Former Miss Louisiana details her party favorites

She may be a pageant queen who represented Louisiana at Miss USA in 2012, but that doesn’t mean 25-year-old Aerotek recruiter and recent Baton Rouge transplant Erin Edmiston doesn’t know how to kick back, relax and have some easy-going fun.

“I’m usually a casual beer pub kind of girl when I go out, so if I was throwing a party it would probably be a very chill atmosphere with great music.”

Edmiston is of two minds when it comes to hosting a get-together, though. She’d either throw a BYOB pool party with classic burgers and dogs on the barbecue, or rent out a room at a modern museum or eclectic restaurant for a more swanky cocktail evening.

“I guess you could say that I just like parties in general,” she admits.

For her pool party she’d stream Foster the People’s Pandora Radio station and some electronic music to create the mellow vibes.

“I prefer intimate gatherings, but the more the merrier is also a motto that I live by, so I guess it would depend on my mood!”

A classical pianist in the background—”But I’m also a huge fan of late night rap music. It’s the only time I listen to rap. So, the last hour of the party would be strictly devoted to everyone going crazy on the dance floor!”
