Do you have a lucky outfit? Maybe it’s a lucky shirt, or tube socks, or maybe even a lucky jacket. I have a lucky dress. Great things have happened in this dress. Great. Things.
I awkwardly met Anthony Ryan Auld for the first time in this dress. Michael Franti made a beeline toward me in a crowd at the House of Blues and sang to me for a solid 35 seconds in this dress. Most recently, I met my new girl crush, Tai Beauchamp in the dress pictured above right.
Even when I think I have nothing to wear, this number never fails me. Scratch that: especially when I have nothing to wear. The thin layers of lace could be seen as too “Victorian lace tablecloth” for most tastes, but the sheer mesh on the bodice takes it from granny to dainty. I am a big fan of balancing hard and soft. The softness of the lace dress needed some heavier jewelry to even out the tone of the look. A sucker for a bicep cuff, I simply (very carefully) expanded a flexible bracelet to fit my upper arm and tied a leather string around to secure it. Two-in-one jewelry? I’ll take it! A giant ring on one hand complements more slender baubles on the opposing fingers.
