With Slow Food Baton Rouge’s Slow Food Fall Heat almost here, the community organization will host a “Warmup” Monday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Oscar’s Pizza Joint (6251 Perkins Road). The local restaurant will serve a special $5 pizza featuring local and sustainable ingredients, as well as Gnarly Barley beer as a preview for the upcoming event, which will be held at the Burden Center Sunday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m. Get more details on Slow Food Fall Heat.
